Coconut Records AKA actor and musician Jason Schwartzman has called upon the creative talents of crazy skate genius Mark Gonzales and photographer/filmmaker William Strobeck to make this quirky lo-fi video. Actress Chloe Sevigny also makes an appearance to mess around with the Gonz on an oversize skateboard. Fun indeed!

Any Fun is off Coconut Records' latest album Davy, out now on Young Baby Records.

Collectively known as Six Stair Productions, the filmmaking duo's unique approach to filmmaking has spawned such classic skate cinema as Tent City, Northwest, Fruit of The Vine and most recently, Deathbowl to Downtown.

Recently the two have gone and entered their work in an Australian online film fest called Portable Film Festival. As a result, they'll have a new film of theirs up every day this week.

DC are celebrating the work of legendary photographer Mike Blabac with their 20 Years of Definitive Skateboarding photography exhibition at the Maverik Showroom, London, E2 from July 23 - 31.

The event coincides with the launch of the book Blabac Photo: The Art of Skateboard Photography as well as DC's new Blabac Azure Mid shoe.

Street artist INSA hand-painted 35 pieces in 7 days across east London for The IAM1 Journey Nike Sportswear project. This mammoth task was documented by photographer and long time INSA collaborator, Ethel and put together in video form by Protein.

Each of the 35 hand painted pieces will form one of the centre pieces of INSAs major London solo show coming later on in the year.

Under unusually blue skies and scorching sun at Boscombe beach, Bournemouth, Rip Curl's annual drive to get more women surfing may have began with flat conditions but it didn't stop the place buzzing with beginners.

The local Sorted Surf Shop & Surf School put on free surf lessons with hundreds of female first-timers taught dry land basics (due to the South Coast's inconsistent swell) along with balance-board training and paddle board sessions. The tour follows the theory that women learn better in single sex groups, without being intimidated by macho attitudes.

There's 23 stops across Europe, each providing women the chance to learn to surf for free at their own  stress-free pace.

After Climate Camp and London's other G8 demonstrations grabbed headlines worldwide, over 100 Greenpeace activists are currently occupying four fossil-fuel guzzling power stations in Italy.

With the summit aiming to resolve global financial and environmental issues, Greenpeace's demands are simple: they want the "G8 Heads of State to take leadership on climate change".

...By Diddo has come up with some truly original designs in an attempt to challenge the current uniformity of wetsuits.

In his own words, these groundbreaking wetsuits include "a rusted iron diving suit evoking the days of Jules Verne; the anatomic musculature suit as a homage to our inner strength; a wet suit which gives the illusion that the wearer has been attacked by a group of hungry sharks and finally a whale shark patterned suit that celebrates the brilliance and originality of our natural water world."

Yeah, these designs are pretty bold and trying something new is always welcome. But, isn't a shark attack wetsuit just crass and hugely insensitive to those affected by such an horrific occurrence?

After all, would you rock suffocating-in-an-avalanche snow outerwear? Doubt it.
